Ja det är väl hög tid att ge en rapport av vad som händer och har hänt.
Strax innan vi släppte She fick vi en förfrågan av Sweden Rock om vi ville komma till sommarens festival.
Vi sa då att vi ville prioritera detta, och en del andra profana spelningar, eftersom vi hade siktet inställt på att komma dit i år, inte minst p.g.a. att vi tidigt fick förfrågan av Sweden Rocks management om vi var intresserade att spela där i Juni i år, samt den uttömmande artikeln som skrevs i deras tidigare nummer av S.R.M. om kristen rock och Jerusalem.
Det tog tyvärr ganska lång tid med mail och svarsmail som gick fram och tillbaka mellan Jerusalem och SW.R faktiskt närmare 3 månader innan vi fick beskedet att dom hellre ville göra en grej med Jerusalem inför nästa års festival, alltså 2012. Av förståeliga skäl ville vi inte gå ut med att vi var klara inför årets festival, innan kontraktet var skrivet. Därav en lång tystnad, tyvärr.
Har också fått indikationer på att eftersom dom redan har bokat ett band nämligen Stryper...så blir det för mycket med ännu ett kristet band.
Anyway, det som nu gäller är att Jerusalem spelar på Sweden Rock nästa år, allt enligt det besked vi har fått.
Eftersom vi sagt att vi ville hålla inne alla andra bokningar tills vi visste vad som hände med Sweden rock så har vi också varit tvungna att vara återhållsamma med vad vi gör under sommaren och hösten....i dagsläget sitter vi inne med ca. 8-9 förfrågningar inför sommaren i olika länder och vi tar tag i detta nu, vi har också under tiden jobbat med att få distribution i Europa och vidare USA. Men som sagt vi har inte kännt att det blev bra att gå ut med saker som ännu inte är klara, hoppas på er förståelse i detta.

I had a great day yesterday together with friends and family...first in the morning, Philip and Else-Marie (my son and wife) singing for me and then all the wonderful people at "the House" our church here in Gothenburg, singing and giving me presents...I feel I am a very privileged man...first running a church with young "crazy" and hungry for God people, yes, it is great joy to be a part of this, and it inspires me a lot...and then secondly on the edge of finalizing the NEW Jerusalem record, there has'nt been one seriously for 15 years and it is exiting. And last and surely not the least.....to see my family come running together for the Kingdom...it is truly a great blessing from God.....So once again...a great, great THANK YOU from me to all of you...in Him Ulf.
Over all I must say we did experience a very warm welcome from the people who organized the festival, actually very sweet and friendly people and it makes such a difference for us as a band to come to a place of welcome.
As some of you know we are right now having different keyboardplayers involved in the band...Svenne Jansson and Harald Höidahl, both very prominent and skilled on their instrument. Harald did a great job after hours of practicing at home and finally on Thursday at the studio in Gothenburg. (Svenne did a great job at the first 3 concerts Febr-April as well).
Jerusalem played Saturday evening and was of course motivated for the things God called us too....as you know we are a band not only playing for the sake of music we are called to be more than just entertainers but to pull down the power of God over listeners... and He did not forsake us this time either, in the end there was a sweet and heavy presence of the Holy Spirit and I think many was touched by this...it is just the way it works when you focuse on Him more than the music...this comes as a result of seeking His Kingdom.
Anyway, thank you all you wonderful people in Äänekoski and now we are piling up for Jakobsstad, Finland the 20th of June....looking forward to it....

He's now together with the savior he loved to sing about.
Larry did battle and win against all odds in the beginning when Christian Rock was something, according to many, a bad and ungodly thing, but he broke through together with the "Rock that doesn't roll", to change religious mindsets and man made tabus.
We met Larry the first time in the 80's (think it was at the Agape festival in St.Louis) at one of the many festivals we played with Jerusalem in the US during the 80's. And we had the honour to spend some time together. Larry was a relaxed, friendly and warm person, as we remembered him then.
During the years we have met several times, mostly actually in Norway where our roads crossed at Seaside festival, and now last year at Summer gospel festival in Karmoy, Norway...
We talked a little bit in the backstage area but I recognized he seemed to be more tired than I have remembered he has been from previous times, even at times seemed to be focued on other things while we talked... Know that he has been sick for some time, but when he went up on stage he was as good as ever, with his guitar, his honest words and simpleness...
No, doubt, Larry was one of the few that could capture a whole audience by just being himself standing there with only his guitar.
We will remember Larry as a waybreaker and a person that refused to give in to "status quo".
He is now with Jesus.

Ulf will sing at Word of Life (Livets Ord), Uppsala, Friday April 29:th 7 pm. The event is called "För Indiens barn" ("For The Children Of India") - an evening for the benefit of Birgitta Ekman's Fund for Indian children. Word of Life String Ensemble and dance groups will also take part. Admission free!
Jerusalem-concert at Gullbranna Festival in Halmstad May 6:th.
